A Hybrid Algorithm for Gas Source Locating Based on Unmanned Vehicles in Dynamic Gas Environment

A new method for locating hazardous gas source based on unmanned vehicles is presented in this paper. Based the sensors and vehicles, research location algorithm, using concentration of several detection sites as heuristic information, carried out. When available information less, such that diffusion model unknown, algorithm can locate leakage quickly. The proposed combines particle swarm optimization (PSO) Nelder–Mead simplex method. Compared with standard PSO, has fewer iterations faster convergence speed. Finally, feasibility verified by digital simulation experiments.
